Can't write to DFS Share? How to reset file permissions

On Windows Server 2012 R2, I have a DFS file share setup (think Samba on Steroids), and when I set it up, I copied a bunch of files from my old File Share to the new share. Since then I've had issues with some folders that I can't write to as my normal login (I am part of the administrators group). Here is how I fixed it:

takeown /f *.* /r /a /d y

Followed by

ICACLS *.* /reset /T /C /L /Q

Real credit due to technet.
